Vanguard Press, New York, 1938 First Edition, First Printing SIGNED by Dr. Seuss on a laid in signature. This ORIGINAL dustjacket has the First Issue points with the publisher's $1.50 printed price present on the front flap and Mulberry priced $1.00 at rear flap. Later editions are either price clipped or have the price of Mulberry changed to $1.25 on the back flap. The book is in great shape and is bound in the publisher's cloth. The binding is tight with NO cocking or leaning and the boards are crisp with minor wear to the edges. The pages are clean with NO writing, marks or bookplates in the book. A wonderful copy of this TRUE FIRST EDITION, with the correct endpapers going from larger to smaller hats with the largest hats on the paste downs.. Signed by Author(s). 1st Edition. Hardcover.
