This book is the remarkable account of the battle of the Barents Sea in which four small British destroyers held off the might of the German High Seas Fleet (Six large destroyers and the battleships Lutzow and Hipper). The battle was a brilliant feat of naval defensive tactics and personal courage and because Hitler in a rage scrapped the German surface fleet. Seen from both the German and the British sides this is and examination of two mighty navies and the psychology, training, and discipline of the commanders and their men. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
