That House in London by L. T. Meade. Complete serialisation. Mad John Burleigh by Mrs Charles Garnett. Complete serialisation. Original green cloth on bevelled boards, illustrated in black and lettered in gilt. Corners rubbed, 1 cm loss at head of spine, prize plate (1890) on front pastedown inner joint papers lightly cracked, good. A very heavy volume which will require additional postage. Late-C19th black leather over grey beaded cloth; brown endpapers. Leather splitting on each end of hinges, cloth chipped at foot of front board, but contents clean and tight: fair. The third and last volume of a short-lived journal (there is a "notice of discontinuance" at the end): the fiction is mostly aimed at older children. A heavy volume which will require additional postage..
