An exceptional copy, with an important inscription across the top of the illustrated ffep. It is a Christmas present to Laughlin Phillips (son of Duncan Phillips, who founded the Phillips Collection in Washington, DC) from Agnes Tack who was the wife of Augustus Vincent Tack, an artist whom the elder Phillips patronized for many years. Noteworthy as such, demonstrating the close bond between artist and patron. minor edge wear to cover edges and corners, a delightful copy overall.
