Illustrated cover boards are bright and clean; edges and corners are sharp. Decades old; looks like it was just produced! Not an ex-library book Scarce in this nice condition! "In this very practical and helpful introduction to puppetry, the author, who is a puppeteer of great experience, describes the main types of puppets and gives detailed instructions for making glove puppets and marionettes. The book also includes sections of staging, scenery, properties, lighting, production, scripts, and the choice of programmes; and there is a special chapter on cloth puppets for those who would like to make a simple puppet but do not want to attempt modelling or carpentry. The book is simply and clearly written and is fully illustrated with diagrams and photographs.
