Edgewear, spine ligthly faded, tight and clean without foxing or stains, a very attractive copy, internally VG plus. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; Later 3/4 red morocco, 5 raised bands, panels are gilt ruled with device in center, all edges marbled with matching end-papers and boards, x, 800p., profusely illustrated, 1 folding plate, index, plus contemporary mss. index in Bayley's hand. **Francis Bayley's copy with signature and armorial bookplate, also the book seller's or binder's label of Leightons, 40 Brewer St.. The author was the founder of the Congres Scientifics de France. .
