About This Item
New York: Doubleday, Doran and Co, 1940. Second Edition. Hardcover. Good. Quarto. 8.75 x 12.5 in. Unpaginated. Good in original illustrated boards with general wear from decades of reading, including edges that have scotch tape from end to end for support. The pages have some markings and stains. A prior owner's name appears opposite the title page, just above a Caldecott Award plate pastedown. Signed by Ingri and Edgar on the copyright page, somewhat whimsically.
