New York:Derby & Jackson. 1859. 1st edition, 1st state (with 329 at upper left.) 329pp. Illustrated with double frontispiece. Hardcover. Green pebbled boards lightly worn along edges with some chipping and fraying to spine ends. Page edges soiled. Internally, yellow end-pages are age-toned, with a previous owners name penciled to verso of 1st frontispiece. The first few pages, through title page, are lightly foxed, otherwise pages age-toned but clean. The binding is tight with hinges intact. A very good copy. *BAL:4001
