Taunton: Printed and Sold by J. Poole, 1804. First edition, 8vo (198 x 120 mm), xii, 61, [1]pp., recent quarter calf, marbled boards, uncut, morocco label lettered in gilt on upper cover. Mr. Edlin dispels the practice of using ice and cold water as a remedy for Gout which was recommended by Dr. Kinglake, but ended in fatality for the patient. Dr. Kinglake then replies to every paragraph in Edlin's pamphlet, in a very angry stain. Copac locates Edinburgh University copy only of the Kinglake pamphlet.
