Oversized hardcover without dust jacket, navy blue cloth covers with very bright and clear gilt lettering on front and spine, 349 pages including many illustrations in various shades from duotone through to black-and-white to full colour;--- text in Portuguese;--inscribed in 2000 by Ferreira in ink on the title page to Amigo Antonio Augusto de Moraes (see below) over five lines including "---com o maior apreço---";---very gently used, light bump to spine top, otherwise hardly a trace of shelf wear, very clean and unmarked throughout, but while the binding is secure to the covers it is very weak with numerous cracks appearing between pages;---book acquired from the estate of the previous owner ( Portuguese-Canadian ship model maker and published ship historian A. A. de Moraes). .
