London: W.& R.CHAMBERS Ltd , 1913 Early edition.Undated.but inscsp.dated as1913.large format thick volume-.Blue boards with bevelled edges, Laid on Colour plate & Bright Gilt titles & gilt decs.with Gilt top foredge.523pp. Colour frontis + 15 other Full-page Colour plates with 38 pen & ink drawings,as expected, by Artist Gordon Browne RI. Book undated but ink name with date to half title page of Christmas 1913. VG/Good + as - bindings tight & sound, no exposure, very minor fox tan spotting 1st/last 2 pages, tanned side & base forege light markings Really clean throughout, vg .[ external boards even spine fade yet all gilt bright & bold.2mm softness top/tail spine caused top edge to split. few markings & scrapes to boards, corner & edgewear colour rub / loss .The plate shows some rubbing/colour loss.NB. Unfortunate heavy vol. will incur extra postage for Oversea orders Only. Please see our images of the actual book offered for sale.
