Price was a strong defender of colonial rights in the new world especially regarding the subject of taxation and representative government. His good friendship with Benjamin Franklin no doubt had a lot to do with his views. He was a noted and well respected author of many books on moral philosophy and economics. This is the scarce FIRST EDITION in wonderful condition. Bound in later 3/4 green calf gilt by Zaehnsdorf. Binding is rubbed around the edges. Former owner's inscription on ffep.
