Also Kino's descriptions of his 3 years in Baja California are one of the best accounts of a daily life of a missionary in the New World.Kino's work including establishing the Pious Fund of the Californias together with his trail blazing in Baja California, Sinoloa, Sonora, and Arizona led to the Spanish settlement of the state of California 60 years after his death by the Portola & Anza Expeditions.
