Washington, D. C.: National Tribune, 1897 Autobiographical account of adventure during the Civil War. Wilson was part of a group of union men who went south to steal a train and run back north, cutting telegraph wires and tearing up track on the way. This is his account of the adventure, eventual capture and return to the north. Bound in mustard covered flexible wraps on cheap paper. Paper has a chipped fore edge [margin] on the first several leaves and a large chip on the lower corner, not affecting the text. A complete copy that may be read carefully.[Paper is still flexible but somewhat fragile. 237 pp plus 16 pp ads.
