Stated first edition (American), published in England as "Keeping Cool and Other Essays" the same year. Above where it states first edtiion there are some characters blacked out above it. Previous owner's booplate on front fixed endpaper. Original price of $2.75 present on front flap.Some cihpping and edgewear to the jacket. Uncommon. Haldane is one of the founders of neo-Darwinism, which integrates Darwin's theory of evolution with Mendel's theory of genetics. The present work discusses unsolved problems in science and glimpses of the scientist at work.
