About This Item
London: Cresset, 1949. Book. Near Fine. Cloth. Reprint. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. London, Cresset, 1949. Reprint. 8vo. Light blue cloth with dark blue lettering embossed on spine, 460 pp. This delightful book has been entertaining readers since it was first published in 1824. Told in the first person, it allows the author to stand aside and let the anti-hero Hajji Baba reveal and confess himself freely to us, without interruption. We cannot judge him; he amuses too well. Very minor dog earring at top and bottom of dust jacket spine. Binding's spine is slightly sunned. Text block is clean, tight and appears gently read. Near fine in a very good dust jacket, protected by a mylar cover..
