Published by Jonathan Cape, 1939. 1st edition.. Hardback. Good. Almost very good condition with no wrapper. Peter, Michael and their mother's aeroplane trip ended when their plane landed out at sea. They were rescued by pirates who ordered them to walk the plank but Michael's piano playing saved them. Oblong format 8.75 x 6", white pictorial boards. Colour illustrations. Bumping and wear to spine and corners, some loss of surface paper from base of spine, small split to top. Covers grubby. Front endpaper is MISSING. Rear endpaper is creased. A few marks to contents but most pages are clean.
