First edition, first printing, of the second Mickey Mouse picture book, featuring Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Widow Churchmouse and, Mickey's nemesis, Peg Leg Pete. Copies with dust jacket, in any condition, are not common. Octavo. Original colour pictorial printed boards, yellow spine, lettering to front cover in green, black, white and red, illustrated endpapers. With pictorial dust jacket Illustrated endpapers and 32 colour illustrations throughout the text. Extremities worn, some adhesive residue on two leaves, occasional light finger-soiling; a very good copy. Dust jacket worn with loss to spine and front panel, numerous tears and front panel detached.
