Moderate foxing and tanning to pages and plates. More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Light cracking and staining to gutters but binding remains firm. Book is slightly bowed and forward leaning with visible tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has light tanning with soft crushing to ends.

Apart from a small stain on the front end paper, there is nothing intrinsically wrong with this copy, except that it looks obviously second hand. Very good overdoes its charms, good sells it short. What makes this copy interesting is that it is ex George J Coles library, of Coles fame. His isgnature is writ large on the front end paper" George J. Coles, Melbourne, Cabin 60." No publishing date.
