Chicago, Illinois: Doll Dress Pattern Co, 1905. Very good. Toning, offsetting, short surface tear to verso affecting two letters in the word "Kindergarten".. Advertising card for "Pleasant Hour" Kindergarten Instruction kit, which includes seven sets of cut patterns for doll clothes, a tape measure, tracing wheel, pencil, and carrying case. The idea behind the kit was to provide families with young children a Kindergarten/Froebel-based activity for young girls to engage in that teaches while also entertaining. The recto depicts three little girls happily engaged in the activity, sewing dresses for their dolls at a child-sized craft table.
