Publisher's full cream-colored vellum, gilt spine titles and gilt rules and vignettes on the boards, marbled endpapers, top edge gilt. Illustrated by Stephen Gooden. Finely printed letterpress by Walter Lewis at the Cambridge University Press. Copper plates by A. Alexander and Sons, Ltd., in London. One of 525 copies on hand-made paper. This is copy number 256, signed by the artist.
The boards are yawning a bit as happens with full vellum in a dry climate, and there are a few small faint stains on the endpapers, else this is a fine copy.
