About This Item
London: Cassell & Company. London, Cassell & Company, 1885. First Edition. First Impression. Hardback. A very good copy. First issue with the ads dated March, 1885. A classic work of Victorian science fiction. An important, early post-apocalyptic story set in dystopic England after an unspecified disaster has wiped out most of civilization, leaving only small communities of rural people trying to survive in a pre-industrial society. Some bumping to the spine tips, and a little chipping to the lower tip. Some pulling and splitting to the hinges as is common. Similarly, the binding's a touch loose as usual. [10900, Hyraxia Books]. . Very Good. Hardback. 1st Edition. 1885.
