About This Item

Longmans, Green & Co., London, 1934. Book. Good. Hardcover. 1st Edition. The first UK edition (first printing), issued a year after the US edition. 8vo. 205pp. Quarter cloth lettered in gold at the spine. Boards somewhat marked and dusty, but a nice crisp copy internally, marred by a strip of light partial browning to the half-title and another to one blank concluding leaf. Former owner name to the front free endpaper. Quite a bright copy in poor dust wrapper - nicked, chipped, tanned and internally repaired. Eleven stories, the author's second such collection (which was also preceded by three volumes of verse)..
