Bookplate of John Arthur Brooke, who inherited early Shakespeare folios and whose 20,000 volume library sold at Sotheby's in 1921 for £32,321. Forest green buckram with stamped black design, titles in gilt on spine..Delicate gray endpapers. Slight touch of spine lean, otherwise tight and unmarked copy. Now protected in removable mylar.
