About This Item
New York: Harper & Brothers, 1952. Ex-Library. Illus. by Illustrated. Good. Cloth. First Edition. 8vo. New York: Harper & Brothers, 1952. First edition, later printing. 8vo. Cloth binding, 367 pp. Illustrated with black and white photographs. Part of The Rise of Modern Europe Series, covering the first half of the seventeenth century. There is no previous owner signature or marks. The book is ex-library with a number of library marks, including a label on the dust jacket at the spine, a pocket and labels on the free front endpaper, a library stamp and "withdrawn" stamp on the title page, and a stamp on one of the rear free endpapers. The dust jacket is covered in a library-issued plastic cover and the cover is adhered to the boards. It can be removed, freeing the dust jacket, but the process will damage the endpapers, so we have left it alone. The book appears to have not been read, if at all. The boards themselves have no defects, nor does the text block, other than the library marks above. Good in very good dust jacket, protected with library-issued plastic cover..
