A fictional story of the youth and manhood of Abraham Lincoln told by a family that moved from Vermont in 1831 to Illinois. They meet Lincoln and tell about him, the community, the living conditions, and the rising anti-slavery movement. This covers up to his leaving the area to go to Congress in 1847. A clean presentable copy with the rare Landon bookplate.
