Miller's book, first published in 1945, chronicles his year-long road trip across the United States in 1940. Many of the chapters first appeared in magazines and anthologies. Binding is rubbed, soiled and scuffed with bumps to corners. Ink names and date on FEP. Hinge is tight. Includes a black and white photograph of the author at his Big Sur home. There is an Itinerary map of Miller's cross-county trip on the end papers.
