Book is a bit loose in the hinges, square, and unmarked but for F/O name and address on the front pastedown. Book Conditin: Good: moisture marks on the front board at bottom and fore edge; wear to fabric at head, tail, and tips; tarnished gilt at spine. DJ: Fair; NOT Price Clipped ($3.75); tape repairs to front and back along top and bottom edges and flap folds; missing small pieces along top and bottom edges. Blue cloth boards and spine with gilt lettering on the spine and front board. Clean internals; internal hinges are sound and not split. 264 pp 8vo oblong. For the past year (1942) the author has been soliciting photographs from noted aeronautical photographers for the most beautiful and exciting photographs of every plane type in current use from the warring nations. the 355 best were selected for this volume which includes the US Army Air Force, US Naval Air Service, and the Air Forces of Great Britain, Russia, China, Germany, Italy, and Japan. Each photograph is completely documented, not with just engine and airframe data, but with a discerning analysis of its relative position in the current world conflict. Each is printed in sheet fed gravure on fine antique paper, painting a picture of modern aviation the world over. A clean presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket. No international shipping.
