Book Condition: Good; bumped head and tail; chipping along board edges; wear at tips through paper to boards; foxing to endpapers. DJ: Good; chipping at head, tail, and tips with small loss of paper; closed tears to top edge; flaking at flap folds; moisture stain to front panel near spine. Red pictorial boards with red cloth overlay on the spine with bright black lettering on the front and rear boards; matching illustrated DJ. Non-paginated folio. This book is meant to give children an idea of what to expect on a plane trip in a modern safety-first airplane (especially by Eastern Air Lines who promoted the book). In many B&W photos young Jack and Betty Brown are followed through the flight and their experiences are recorded as they fly from New York to Los Angeles. The photographs illustrate the flight, the planes, and all the preparations that occur before and after flights. A clean presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
