About This Item

London: Putnam & Company, Ltd., 1970 WYSIWYG pricing--no added shipping charge for standard shipping within USA. Dark blue cloth-textured boards, gilt titles on spine, x, 206 pp, numerous photos, drawings, index. Book has a minor manufacturing defect: binder's glue seems to have oozed from under pastedowns onto fore-edge; this has been removed, but small spots remain on fore-edge of free endpapers and last few leaves; else fine. DJ introductory price is clipped, but regular British price and an American price sticker still remain, else fine; in Brodart cover. The Airspeed company was founded in the inauspicious year of 1931, managed to survive the slump building civil aircraft until switching over to war production during WW2, and finally was merged into de Havilland in 1951. This is a complete catalogue of the company's production as well as its incomplete development projects. Shipping weight 2 lbs.. First Edition. . Near Fine/Near Fine. 22½ X 14 cm.

Terms of Sale

Twin City Antiquarian Books

Books are offered subject to prior sale. You may return any book within 14 days for a refund; if it was not as described, we will also refund return shipping costs (but please e-mail us first). You can place credit card orders through Biblio, or we will ship upon receipt of payment by check or money order. Sales tax is collected by Biblio and remitted directly to your state, where applicable. SHIPPING IN UNITED STATES: Books are priced postpaid, so there are no additional shipping charges for standard shipping. We will ship via Priority Mail for $12.00 per order (Save on multiple-book orders!). This may be reduced if actual postage is less than for a medium flat-rate box. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: In most cases, shipping via Biblio's consolidated shipping program via Asendia is the cheapest option on orders up to 5 lbs. International shipping rates are complex (cost depends upon weight and destination), so please feel free to email us for a quote before you order. If the actual cost of shipping is more than the automatically quoted rate, you must approve the additional charges before the order will be shipped. Shipping charges will be reduced if shipping weight is under 3 lbs. All shipping charges (except via Asendia) include 17% to cover Biblio fees and commissions that apply to these charges.
