About This Item

Bloomsbury, London, 2008. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. 1st Edition. First Edition (first printing). 8vo. 341pp. Blue boards lettered in silver at the spine. Illustrated with eighteen photographs. Head of spine very lightly rubbed and with a crease to the corner of a single text leaf. A very good copy in very good non-price-clipped dust wrapper, with a touch of corresponding rubbing to the head of the spine panel. "Alasdair Gray was not always the rapidly ageing, fat Glasgow pedestrian he likes to describe on the inside leaf of his books. There was once a time when he was young. A time when he was really rather thin"..
