Philadelphia: J.B. Lippincott & Co., 1868. Book. Very good- condition. Hardcover. Early edition. Octavo (8vo). Two volume set in original cloth bindings. Vol. I: xxx, 371 pages of text. Vol. II: xii, 372 pages of text including an index. The bindings are moderately rubbed and frayed, with minor bumping to the corners. Volume one has two color maps, including a large color folding map (with a small tear), and 22 plates and illustrations. Volume two has a color lithographic frontispiece and 11 illustrations and plates. Complete. Moderate foxing to the first and final few pages, and minimal foxing scattered here and there. Previous owner's engraved bookplate on the inside front cover: Edward King, and his name written in one volume. Early edition..
