About This Item

Boston: D.Lothrop and Company, 1883. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. A very good copy with 137 black and white illustrations (engravings). Nice and tight copy, but cover has a chipped spine, bumped corners, and has been affected by the sun. Meant for young tweens, the book has many adventure stories and illustrations of distant places like Saratoga Lake, Lake Mohonk, Grand Canyon, and the Catskills. This book appeals to the young person's imagination, but also harkens back to real events like the American revolution. .
