London: Jonathan Cape, 1963. First Edition Thus. Hardcover. Very Good/Near Fine. Introduction by Ian Fleming. Very Good in a Near Fine jacket, unclipped (16s. net), lightly rubbed and toned. Dark grey buckram with gilt lettering and design on the spine. Firmly bound with a slight forward lean and a faded and dusty red top stain. A novel brought back into print by Fleming's request, "it is a tale within a tale" involving a group of friends who are joined at dinner by a sailor who tells a tale of "secret cargo from the Indies, a wreck, adventures and misfortune in Africa.
