Boards scratched and chafed at edges, spine dull with wear at head and tail of spine. Textblock square, hinges strong, binding tight. Interior foxed throughout, endpapers torn and chipped. Last page of appendix has been torn out of the book. Introduction states that "In compiling the work it has been the aim to render it instructive and interesting; to treat the numererous sects in such a manner as to avoid giving just cause of offense."
