Oversized hardcover without dust jacket, stated "second edition 1908" (meaning second printing), xvii + 339 pages (plus a "corrigenda" correcting textual errors), plus many archival black-and-white illustrations;---gently used ex-library copy with green cloth boards with presentable bright and clear gilt spine lettering, also top edge gilt, moderate shelf wear to covers with some light soiling/scuffing, tight in binding, library markings on spine and all four endpapers, rough cut pages age toned along fore and bottom edges, text pages surprisingly fresh and white, very clean and unmarked (hardly a trace of foxing).
