VG (ex-library w/ stampe to upper textblock & stamp to front endpaper; rough paper square patch to cover pastedown from apparent sticker removal. scuffs & scratches to boards, light finger-print smudges to back upper edge of board; corners rubbed to boards). red boards w/ gilt emblem; black cloth spine w/ gilt printing. 256 pgs w/ bw illustrations. text in German. Remains a nice ex-library copy. Pages have been inspected and appear clean, but, may have an errant mark, notation, etc. Pages remain fairly bright; light taning to glossier stock used for plate section. Includes 352 illustrations. Back pastedown has a navy and gilt sticker from Librairie Fischbacher of Paris.
