About This Item

N.p.: Barbara Kantrowitz, 1986. Original silkscreened poster, 23" x 17" (ca 58cm x 43cm). Printed in four colors on heavy white art paper. Mild creasing to corners, else a Fine example, Grade A/A-.

A striking screenprint in support of leftist rebels in the Salvadoran Civil War (1979-1990). Unsigned, but the Oakland Museum of California (OMCA) attributes the work to Kantrowitz, a Philadelphia-based painter and printmaker who was active as a documentary artist among California's Latino community in the 1980s.
