Popular midcentury actress offers advice she gleaned from talking to thousands of men on what makes the "ideal woman,'' & offers tips on how to achieve such status. Typical 50s' stereotypes & promotion of advice boiled down to "just shut up & look pretty" presented without a touch of irony. In 180 pages with Index, line drawings throughout by Carol Blanchard. Orig. published in 1965, this is the Third Printing from May of that year, but a Book Club Edition (BCE). Hardcover with cream-colored cloth over boards stamped with a bright red pair of lips & beauty mark to front, lettered in somewhat faded red script to spine. Condition is Near Fine: very clean & bright, binding strong & straight, pages creamy white with very mild tanning to edges; no foxing. The unclipped DJ is VG, downgraded due to some chipping to both edges. with moderate edgewear; nicely protected in new clear mylar cover.
