About This Item
Little, Brown and Company, Boston, Toronto, 1976. Hardcover. Stated First Edition. Condition: Very Good. No dust jacket. 68 pp. Text bright on ivory paper. Former library copy with appropriate markings. Otherwise, clean and unmarked. Illustrated with B/W photographs throughout. Spine and back cover is sunned and lightly faded. Spine shows tape residue where the Dewey Decimal system number had been affixed. A compilation of 32 poems that present a view of the American Midwest "that goes beyond the descriptions in a travel guide or the pictures in a geography book. They were chosen because they capture, in graceful language and vivid images, the sights and sounds, moods and memories of America's heartland." Overall, a clean, crisp copy.
