Seattle: Grimm's Photo Service. Near Fine. 1950. Brochure. Black and white photograph taken at the Annual Banquet of the American Association of Law Libraries, which took place in Seattle, Washington. Three couples are pictured. One of the couples is Mr. Francis Xavier Dwyer (then Asst. Law Librarian, Library of Congress) and wife. Laid-in is a typed letter addressed to Mr. Dwyer and signed by Dennis A. Dooley, State Librarian, on letterhead of "The Commonwealth of Massachusetts State Library, State House, Boston" and dated August 16, 1950. The letter their long association and admiration. There is an additional snapshot laid-in depicting two couples standing on the platform in front of a train -- likely Mr. and Mrs. Francis X. Dwyer and Mr. and Mrs. Dennis A. Dooley. All are housed in a manila envelope sent from Grimm Photo Service to Mr. Francis X. Dwyer. .

At The Antiquarian Book Shop, located in Georgetown - an historic neighborhood of Washington, D.C. we have been buying, selling & appraising rare, interesting and scholarly books in Georgetown for more than 30 years. We are in the process of cataloguing the extensive holdings in our warehouse (15,000+ books) and hope to flesh out these pages over the months to come.
