Limited and first edition; no. 61 of 75 copies with an original signed etching. From the Crafton Collection. Edited by James C. McGuire. This edition, however, does not have an original etching. It contains reproduction etchings only and none are missing. It also contains a card with a notarized signed statement by Winifred Day stating that this is a true number 61 and contains and original etching entitled "Elgeria" as well as a postcard size repro, of a Hassam etching.The book is in fine condition (excepting the original etching is missing) with a linen over hard board cover and the titles pasted on the front and spine. SIGNED BY THE ARTIST and issued in a LIMITED EDITION of 75 copies on Oland hand-made paper, pages uncut and bound in natural red linen with gilt titles. The pages on which the etching is tipped on have been cut at edges, with a very small corner edge tear; otherwise this is a fine copy. Extremely scarce: no copy online as of this listing. Bound in publisher's original tan cloth with creme colored labels printed in green on front cover and spine. Spine label a little chipped not affecting any lettering. Housed in a facsimile two part box. Also included is a notarized slip of paper signed by Winifred Day attesting to the authenticity of this production with an original print.
