** The American Heritage Book of Indians - When Europeans landed on the east coast of north america they were greeted by a group of strange exotic looking people who, do to a location error were named Indians. Thus the interaction between these peoples started. This book introduces us to the various tribes of the - Americas and we can see how different they were, each group had it's own style, traditions, skills. Each group accepted the new comers in different ways some nice and some not so nice....American heritage book of India ...... Large over-sized hardcover book in good condition. Light blue cloth covered boards with dark blue cloth wrapped spine, gold embossed graphic on the front cover, gold embossed lettering on the spine all in very good condition, the covers to show slight fading at the edges. There is a ding on the top of of the boards where the book was probably dropped, damage is not severe but is obvious. Spine is tight, hinges are intact. Pages are clean, unmarked. Book is full of full color and black/white illustrations and photographs. Dust jacket is acceptable as it has been doing its job so has taken the brunt of use, slight tears at the corners, scuffing, ruffling at the edges........
