New York: John Wiley & Sons. Very Good. 1911. Later Printing. Hardcover. vi, 491 p. 19 cm. Title page states: First Edition, Second Thousand. Sound and square binding in green, cloth-covered boards. Corners lightly bumped and softened. Speckling to both boards, moreso the lower. Text block edges a little grimy. Gilt titles on spine still bright. Previous owner's name and date on the front free endpaper. Faint discoloration to both sets of endpapers. Inside pages are clean and unmarked. A horticultural study which includes "descriptions of the leading varieties of the orchard fruits, grapes, small fruits, subtropical fruits, and the nuts of the United States and Canada". Illustrated with hundreds of black and white drawings and plates. An interesting volume to add to the library of a heritage fruit grower, with many unusual varieties described. .
