1911. Ephemera. Very good condition. A four page hand written letter on textured paper (bamboo like surface) with a color image titled "Geisha Girl's Music", concerning a trip to Nagasaki, Japan, from Kobe, "At sea, Japanese Inland Sea, August 8, 1911". With many details on life in Japan at the time, including descriptions of sampans, junks, street life, food, the respectful comportment of Japanese citizens, mountain scenery, waterfalls, Japanese wages, and a Damascene Gold (metalwork) and Satsuma (porcelain) factory visit. With a charming illustration of two Geisha playing musical instruments, with a patterned screen behind them. Folded, 4 3/4 x 7" HK580.
