This is a limited edition reprint of the original 1846 edition which was published by Rudolph Ackerman. Contains 7 coloured plates and 43 illustrations in black and white by Henry Alken. Red hardcover boards are sunfaded, scuffed and soiled. Top edge gilt. A few of the previously uncut pages were not hand separated carefully, causing random tears in the margins. Text is unaffected.
