II, 2 of which fold out. 6 plates at rear of vol. III. B&w text illustrations throughout. Half leather with cloth boards. Marbled text block edges. Wear to corners and spines. Small ink stamps on front free endpapers. Stains to endpapers. Small tears in each fold-out plate in vol. II, one with repair. Vol. III has stains pp. 42-55 and p. 507 has red marks in margin.
