Plain, cream boards with gilt lettering and tan cloth spine. Bw photographic dj with Mylar cover. XV pp. followed by 32 bw plates. Oversize. From the front flap: "[This volume] covers the outstanding masterpieces of New Kingdom sculpture. The choice of material illustrated is sufficiently wide to show many aspects of Egyptian life and customs. It includes examples of the brilliant portrait realism achieved during the reign of Amenophis IV and his wife Nefertiti, and the intensely realistic animal sculpture and charming narrative scenes and linear reliefs characteristic of the more intimate daily life of the times." Each plate is thoroughly described on page opposite. With a lengthy title essay. (A printed label placed over the publisher's name reads, "New York Graphic Society, Greenwich, Connecticut.).
