Frederick William Dallinger was a US Senator from Massachusetts, and also Judge of the United States Customs Court from 1932 -1942. Contains a separate two-page Letter of Resignation from Franklin D. Roosevelt to Judge Dallinger, dated October 22, 1942 accepting his resignation as Judge of the United States Customs Court. Letter of Resolution expressing appreciation of Frederick W. Dallinger from the United States Customs Court New York dated November 16, 1942, is on the front of the two page notice, torn at the top edge. Public school label from The City of Cambridge, dated Sept 1884, on the inside front board. Book has 128 pages plus several pages that include a List of Books Published by John Allyn. Grren cloth boards, 26 chapters, illustrated with a fold-out map of ancient Greece - map has tears ; Signed by Notable Personage, Unrelated .
