New-York: William Borradaile, 1825. Hardcover. Fair. From the latest London edition. Translated from the French. Volume 4 only. Octavo. With a folded engraved frontispiece map and engraved title page preceding the letterpress title page. Bound in contemporary mottled calf, both boards are hand tooled in gold and in blind, elaborate gilt spine, marbled endpapers, edges stained light yellow. The map is damaged (bottom half torn away), else good only with scattered foxing, rubbing and modest scuffing to the boards.
